Member Relations Executive


Mags joined GGI in February 2014 as a Member Relations Executive this position includes managing every aspect of the administration that ensures the smooth running of the GGI Head Office in Zurich as well as support for communication projects such as content and technical maintenance of the GGI Websites, maintaining contact and correspondence with GGI Members, assisting with the coordination of Practice Group projects and coordinating the GGI Awards.

Mags has primarily worked in the hospitality industry in Ireland before moving to Switzerland, serving time working as a bartender, receptionist and also having a keen interest in the arts worked as a Production Assistant on-site at the Body and Soul zone at The Electric Picnic Music Festival.

She has attained several qualifications including FETAC Awards in Multimedia Production and Technical Theatre, and Diplomas in Public Relations and Event Management. In her spare time she enjoys music, mainly Rock, Pop, Folk, IrishTrad, and music that sounds happy, such as that Isicathamiya music of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. She also enjoys playing Samba Music and plays with the Zurich School of Samba.

Some of her other interests include reading, swimming, photography and traveling, and she has spent time traveling in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore as well as partaking in a cross country tour of the United States, which included Boston, New York, Washington, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, San Antonio, The Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Chicago.

When she was 19 she organised a charity event, where she managed to convince a number of men to wax various body parts and during which she also auctioned off the chance to shave her head, raising in excess of €6000 which was donated to The Irish Cancer Society and Multiple Sclerosis Ireland.
